Wanna train like a supermodel? From Gigi Hadid to Sara Sampaio and Emily Ratjakowski, we closely examined the exercise programs and eating habits of the 30 most popular models to find out how they keep their bodies in perfect shape.
We see them on social media, fashion runways and in swimwear catalogs showcasing their fit and toned bodies—and we can’t help but admire their physique. What do they really do everyday to stay so fit and healthy?
To find the answers, the Rachael Attard team took a very close look at some of our favorite models’ fitness regimes. After all, they served as a big inspiration for our “3 Steps to Lean Legs Program”, which is all about keeping your body lean, fit and healthy.
Supermodels have a lot of resources to help them stay fit and healthy – personal trainers, nutritionists and chefs.
But, they still have to work hard in the gym and make healthy food choices just like everyone else.
Here is a summary of the most popular exercises and daily meals followed by the full supermodel list with the likes of Adriana Lima, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Irina Shaik, Romee Strijd and 25 more supermodels.
For each individual model workout and diet in detail click on their name from the list below.
When it comes to cardio workouts, boxing is the most popular choice for models. This trend was kickstarted years ago by Adriana Lima when she shared her own boxing workout. Models seem to love everything related to boxing and it’s obvious why. Boxing is the perfect full body workout that is guaranteed to make you feel like the most badass gal in town.
Hiking is closely tied with boxing in terms of popular cardio workouts, with Candice Swanepoel, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver, Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk enjoying hikes outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine.
When it comes to resistance training, reformer pilates and bodyweight floor workouts are the biggest winners. Most models do these exercises daily as it easily fits into their intense travel schedules.
The most popular arm exercises include battle ropes, cable machines, resistance band workouts and pushups. Oh, and of course boxing!
When it comes to leg and booty exercises it’s all about resistance band sidewalks, resistance band squats, resistance band leg taps, donkey kicks and glute bridges.
These are the ab exercises supermodels actually use to get their sculpted abs: mountain climbers with and without gliding discs, half tuck and pike with gliding disc or TRX, crunches, lots of planking and renegade rows.
The most popular breakfasts include eggs with avocado, protein smoothies, smoothie bowls and overnight oats.
For lunch, it tends to be a lean protein such as chicken or fish with lots of veggies or salad.
Favourite dinners include sushi and Italian, or veggie soup and salad if they want something lighter.

Hello! I’m a mesomorph and I know these models are all probably ectomorphs, but is there any chance that they could also be mesomorphs ? It would be great to know because if it could work for them as mesomorphs, it might be effective for me as well.
Thanks!
Roxy
Hi lovely,
Yes, a few of these models are either mesomorph or between the ectomorph and mesomorph body type (Taylor Hill, Irina Shayk, Rosie, Kendall Jenner). But just because they can indulge in carbs and incorporate hardcore workouts into her workout routine without bulking up doesn’t mean that you’ll have the exact same results. xx
Love,
Diana
